Good Luck Card

The All-Star Cheerleading Worlds are taking place this weekend in Orlando, and Grace's tumbling coach (along with two of her regular-season coaches), will be competing.  There are 57 teams in their division, and East Elite has been picked as one of the favorites to win.  A HUGE deal considering most powerhouse cheerleading gyms come from the South, not New England.  Needless to say, lots of excitement and pride around the gym right now.  And of course being the crazy, suck-up parent that I am (I don't even bother trying to hide or deny it anymore), I decided to make a good luck card for the coaches.  I don't have a picture of the finished card, but here's the digital image that I printed on white paper, mounted to a piece of red cardstock, and tied off with a glittery gold bow.  Very cute!  Grace is planning to give this to her tumbling coach tonight, and I'll probably just post the digital version on her other coaches Facebook* wall, since we won't see them again before the competition.

*  This reminds me that I need to post a link to my Facebook account here - which by the way is the first of many things recently that has made me feel like I'm starting to get old.  I mentioned something about Facebook the other day at work, and one of the newly-out-of college associates in my department looked at me in horror and exclaimed, "YOU'RE on Facebook?"  Hahahahaha!!!!  Gee thanks!  (Facebook is an online networking site, similar to Myspace - for those who are older and less hip than myself.  LOL!)  This reaction, of course, made me realize that when my kids get to be about five years older, they are going to be completely horrified by Steve and myself.  Mark my words.
